Built in 1937 during the Public Works Administration project, this courthouse replaced three previous structures dating back to 1827.
The courthouse walls display 2,500 square feet of murals by Eugene Savage depicting the development of Fountain County through different periods.
Located at 301 4th Street, the courthouse operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for administrative services.
The building incorporates distinct geometric patterns and decorative elements across its limestone exterior, measuring 116 feet by 89 feet.
