Hotel Windermere

Hotel Windermere is a large residential building located at the corner of 56th Street and Cornell Avenue in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood. The structure houses both apartments and rooms across multiple floors that form a substantial presence in the area.

The building was constructed in 1892 as a hotel to serve visitors attending a major exposition in Chicago. During the 1920s it was redesigned and split into two distinct building sections.
