Nobska Light, Maritime lighthouse in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, US
The cylindrical cast iron tower rises 12 meters above the shoreline, with a white exterior and multiple windows along its vertical axis.
The original light station was established in 1828, and the current cast iron tower replaced the previous structure in 1876.
The lighthouse represents maritime navigation heritage and stands as a testament to New England's seafaring traditions at the intersection of three major waterways.
The lighthouse emits white flashes and includes a red sector light to mark dangerous shoals, with a fog horn sounding every 30 seconds.
The Friends of Nobska Light organization manages public access to the lighthouse following its transfer from Coast Guard ownership in 2015.
