Constructed in 1914 for $162,000 by Hedden Construction Company, this structure began as the Manual Training Building at George Peabody College for Teachers.
The building received its name from Frank W. Mayborn, who contributed $1 million to the college during a period of financial difficulty.
Located at 130 Magnolia Circle, the structure houses the Human and Organizational Development program with faculty offices, classrooms, and instructional facilities.
The oldest building on Peabody campus underwent a $600,000 renovation to maintain accreditation for its Master's of Library Science program.
