The Exchange Bank building stands nine stories tall at the intersection of Washington and Oak Streets in downtown El Dorado, Arkansas.
Built between 1926 and 1927, the Exchange Bank became the first skyscraper in Union County during El Dorado's economic growth from the oil industry.
The architectural firm Mann & Stern from Little Rock designed this structure with Classical Revival and Venetian Gothic elements that shaped the city's visual identity.
Located at coordinates 33°12′47″N 92°39′49″W, the Exchange Bank building received National Register of Historic Places designation on December 16, 1986.
The building served as headquarters for Lion Oil during the local oil boom and maintains its original banking function through First Financial Bank.
