Monadnock State Park

Monadnock State Park protects Mount Monadnock, a 3,165-foot peak that rises distinctly above the surrounding landscape. The park features multiple hiking trails that pass through forests and traverse rocky terrain to reach the summit.

The park was established in 1913 as one of New Hampshire's earliest protected areas. It later received National Natural Landmark status in 1987 due to its geological formations and their importance to understanding the region's natural history.
