Shees Park, Recreation park in Khor Fakkan, United Arab Emirates
Shees Park is a recreation area nestled between mountains in Khor Fakkan featuring an artificial waterfall that flows into a lake with stone pathways winding through the space. Tiered sections cut into the hillside create different levels for visitors to explore and rest.
The park opened to the public in October 2020 following eight months of construction in the mountainous area of Khor Fakkan. The development was part of broader plans to create more public spaces in the region.
The park reflects how the community values gathering together, with spaces designed for families and friends to spend time in the mountains.
Entry to the park is free and parking spaces are available on-site along with prepared barbecue areas. Wear sturdy shoes as stone staircases and pathways lead up and down the hillside throughout the grounds.
A viewing platform sits about 30 meters above the main park area, reachable by climbing through the mountain terraces and stone staircases. The elevated vantage point rewards visitors with views across the surrounding mountain landscape.
