The Château de l'Impératrice stands on elevated ground surrounded by gardens, featuring classical architectural elements and multiple wings.

Acquired in 1811 by former Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais, who resided there with her daughter Hortense during the summer of 1812.

The castle currently serves as the permanent Italian mission to the United Nations, maintaining its connection to international diplomacy.

Located along Chemin de l'Impératrice, the castle property offers views across the surrounding Geneva countryside and Lake Geneva.

The dancer Lola Montès rented the castle in 1848, intending to host her companion, former King Louis I of Bavaria.
