The Penthes château stands on a nine-hectare estate with landscaped grounds, multiple pavilions, and conference facilities near Lake Geneva.
The estate's first documentation dates to 1358 as a fortified house belonging to Guillaume de Visencier before its transformation into a manor in 1761.
The château housed the Museum of the Swiss Abroad from 1978 to 2022, presenting exhibitions about Switzerland's international relations through the centuries.
The estate includes the Espace Gallatin which accommodates 250 people for events, and Le Grenier venue which holds 110 people for concerts.
The grounds maintain an old orchard containing rare fruit tree varieties and feature the Millénium installation commemorating Pregny-Chambésy's confederation bicentennial.
