Abstimmungsdenkmal, Memorial column near Malbork Castle, Poland
The stone column monument, located on the south side of the castle, features a pedestal adorned with historical inscriptions and decorative elements.
The monument was constructed in 1922 to commemorate the 1920 plebiscite where 17,805 residents voted for East Prussia while 191 chose Poland.
The original German knight statue on top of the column was replaced with a statue of the Virgin Mary after Marienburg became part of Poland.
