Felsennest, Military headquarters near Bad Münstereifel, Germany
The military structure included four concrete bunkers, two solid buildings, and three wooden barracks positioned on Eselsberg hill near Rodert village.
From May 10 to June 6, 1940, Adolf Hitler directed military operations during the Western Campaign from this fortified command post.
The bunker ruins represent a significant structure from World War II military architecture in the Eifel region of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Visitors can access the remains through a hiking trail from Rodert village, following the marked path southwest from Napoleonstrasse toward Eselsberg.
German military engineers demolished the complex in March 1945, leaving only concrete fragments and metal reinforcement bars protruding from the ground.
