Bismarckgrotte bei Rinnenbrunn, Natural karst cave in Hirschbach, Germany.
The cave system extends through 1200 meters of dolomite rock formations, featuring spiral-shaped passages and chamber-like expansions reaching 52 meters in depth.
Forestry personnel discovered the cave in 1890, and subsequent archaeological excavations in 1966 revealed prehistoric artifacts indicating early human presence.
The cave received its name in 1891 from First Forester Reichel, becoming an important geological formation in the Franconian Switzerland region.
The cave remains closed from October to April to protect hibernating bats, and visitors require proper equipment to navigate the complex tunnel system.
The southern entrance, known as the Corkscrew, features a distinctive spiral-shaped descent leading to sediment halls and mineral formations.
