St. Mauritius

The St. Mauritius Church features a single nave design with traditional brick construction methods and houses numerous religious artifacts from different periods.

The church structure, dating from the 13th century, replaced two previous wooden churches and underwent reconstruction after damages during the Thirty Years War.

The interior contains a collection of religious artifacts, including a 17th-century baptismal font and an altar from 1666 depicting the crucifixion.

The church maintains regular visiting hours and offers guided tours through its premises, allowing visitors to examine its architectural features and historical elements.

The church houses an organ constructed in 1733 by Samuel Schröder, representing the only known existing instrument created by this craftsman.
