Heinrich-Schütz-Haus, Renaissance composer museum in Weißenfels, Germany.
The Heinrich Schütz House preserves the residence where the composer spent his retirement years from 1657 to 1672, featuring original architectural elements from 1552.
Heinrich Schütz purchased this house in 1651, where he later composed his final works, including the composition known as Swan Song in 1671.
The museum exhibition presents the life and compositions of Heinrich Schütz through artifacts, documents, and musical manuscripts discovered within the building.
Visitors can experience interactive audio installations at four designated seating areas, listening to narratives about different periods of the composer's life.
The attic contains the preserved Komponierstube composing room where two fragments of Schütz's handwritten musical scores were found during restoration work.
