Thieles Garten

Thieles Garten is a sculpture garden in the Leherheide district that combines artworks with a diverse landscape. The space features mature trees, varied plantings, water features, and multiple sculptures, alongside a house designed in Moorish style.

The garden was established by three local artists who merged landscape design with visual art. The ensemble later received official protection as a cultural heritage monument in Bremen.

The artworks throughout this place reflect different subjects and artistic expressions, with sculptures thoughtfully positioned among the vegetation. They invite visitors to experience how art and nature interact during their walk.

The garden is accessible on foot and open during specific months from March through December. Visitors should note that opening hours vary seasonally, with longer hours in summer and earlier closing times in winter.

The site received the Bremen Monument Preservation Prize in 2019, recognizing its ongoing maintenance and care. This award reflects how the ensemble is kept alive through collaboration between the parks department and a support association.
