Kloster Marienhausen

Kloster Marienhausen is a Cistercian monastery in the Rhine region near Rüdesheim am Rhein with buildings dating to the 18th century. The complex includes a church, living quarters, and outbuildings that blend into the rolling landscape of vineyards and hillsides.

The monastery was founded in 1189 and fell under the supervision of Eberbach Abbey. It was dissolved in 1811 when Duke Friedrich August reformed the Middle Rhine region.
