Schwarzerberg

Located in the Nauen Plateau, Schwarzer Berg stands at 89.3 meters above sea level, featuring extensive pine forests across its northwestern slopes.

During archaeological excavations in the 19th century, researchers discovered a Late Bronze Age burial site containing nine graves with bronze artifacts and decorative items.

The mountain represents a protected natural monument within the Westhavelland landscape area, preserving both geological formations and archaeological findings for future generations.

Visitors can access multiple hiking trails connecting Schwarzer Berg to neighboring elevations like Fohrder Berg and Gallberg through the surrounding natural park.

The terminal moraine formation originated during the Brandenburg Phase of the Weichsel glaciation, creating distinct ridges that mark ancient ice marginal positions.
