Studentendorf Adlershof

Studentendorf Adlershof is a residential complex with ten buildings spread across 11,000 square meters that houses 386 students in total. The units consist of single and double apartments with private bathrooms distributed among several three-story structures.

The complex was built in 2014 and represents Berlin's response to growing demand for student housing in the developing Adlershof district. It emerged during a period when the area was establishing itself as an academic center with new research facilities.

The complex encourages student interaction through shared kitchens, dining areas, and lounges found throughout the buildings. These spaces serve as informal meeting points for residents from different fields of study.

The site is located near Humboldt University Campus Adlershof and the WISTA technology park, making it convenient for students at these institutions. The complex is well connected by public transit and provides ample bicycle storage and parking space.

Each residential unit features specialized study alcoves built into the pre-fabricated facades that serve as distinct workspace nooks for residents. These small work surfaces are integrated directly into the building fronts and offer individual retreat spaces for learning.
