Barfüßerkirche Pforzheim

Barfüßerkirche is a Gothic church in Pforzheim featuring six cross-ribbed vaults beneath a wooden ceiling. Colorful stained glass windows from the 1940s brighten the interior with light and color.

The building was founded in 1270 as a Franciscan monastery church. It suffered serious damage during 17th century conflicts but was later restored.

The church holds medieval tomb plates that show how religious communities once honored their deceased. These monuments tell of people who once prayed in this building and found their final resting place here.
