The Urzeitpark extends across 10,000 square meters of outdoor space, displaying more than 400 sculptures of prehistoric mammals and small creatures.
Franz Gruss, who created the Sauriergarten Gosswelka and Saurierpark near Bautzen, developed this educational collection of prehistoric animal sculptures.
The park presents scientific exhibits about extinct species through detailed models, fostering knowledge about Earth's geological periods and evolution.
The park maintains regular operating hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with walking paths connecting different exhibition areas throughout the grounds.
Among the exhibits stands a giant ammonite sculpture, accompanied by two ichthyosaurs, which represent some of the most studied prehistoric animals.
