IBZ Berlin

The IBZ Berlin consists of 78 apartments spanning from 36 to 117 square meters, designed with bright open-plan living spaces and multiple room configurations.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation initiated the concept for international meeting centers during the 1950s, following American models of campus-adjacent facilities.

The center organizes regular lectures, concerts, and seminars for residents, creating connections between international scientists and German researchers.

Residents have access to multiple facilities including a fitness room, billiard salon, library, large event hall, and garden with convenient public transport connections.

The building's architecture, created by Otto Steidle in 1983, features three distinct garden sections designed by Peter Latz, including front gardens and a backyard space.
