KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg is an art museum in Aalborg featuring modern architecture and spacious interior galleries. The building uses parabola-shaped skylights to flood exhibition spaces with natural light, while marble surfaces and copper sheeting define its exterior.

The museum opened in 1972, designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in collaboration with his wife Elissa Aalto and Jean-Jacques Baruël. This design team created a building that represents modernist architecture in northern Europe during the second half of the 20th century.

The name KUNSTEN means "The Art" in Danish and reflects the museum's mission to showcase creative expression. Inside, visitors encounter contemporary pieces displayed alongside 20th-century works in bright galleries that welcome all kinds of artistic exploration.

The museum is fully accessible with ramps and clear signage for all visitors. Information materials and tours are available in multiple languages to help international guests explore the collections.

The museum has an adjacent sculpture park with outdoor installations by Danish artists Gunnar Aagaard Andersen and Willy Ørskov. These permanent works in the open air blend the art exhibition with the surrounding landscape.
