Høghsbjerget, Artificial hill in Albertslund Municipality, Denmark.
Høghsbjerget is an artificial hill in Albertslund that rises about 35 meters above the surrounding ground. Marked pathways lead to the summit and connect with nearby cycling and walking routes in the area.
The hill took shape during the 1960s as a byproduct of Albertslund Syd's development, using leftover soil from construction projects in the expanding municipality. This origin from excess materials defines its character today.
The hill bears the name of municipal engineer Jens Christian Høgh, who contributed to the infrastructure development of Albertslund between 1916 and 1976.
The hill is easy to reach on foot with accessible paths leading up at several points. Comfortable shoes are recommended to enjoy the various viewing areas at the top.
At the base of the hill sits an open-air performance stage that functions as a natural amphitheater for events and gatherings. This stage is regularly used by community activities and accommodates larger audiences.
