Oluf Høst Museum

The Oluf Høst Museum is housed in the former home of Danish painter Oluf Høst and displays more than 50 original artworks created within its spaces. The residence sits between coastal cliffs and open views in northern Bornholm, with multiple studios placed at different spots on the property.

The painter moved to the villa in 1929 and created most of his work there until his death in 1966. The building was converted to a museum in 1998, preserving its original function as an artist's residence.

The house reflects the personal world of the painter who lived here, with rooms and spaces showing how he organized his creative work and daily life. Visitors experience the intimate connection between his living quarters and the artistic practice that defined his career.

The museum is open to visitors during the main season, with varying hours depending on the time of year. Wear sturdy shoes as the grounds are uneven with steps connecting different levels between the studio spaces.

The property includes a hidden studio tucked into a rock garden with views toward the Bokul rock formation. This spot reveals how the artist sought out different vantage points across the grounds to capture varying light and perspectives.
