Egekilde mineral water flows through calcareous subsoil from an underground spring located in a forest near Faxe, Denmark.
Royal Unibrew introduced Egekilde mineral water in January 2006 after discontinuing distribution of San Benedetto and Ramlösa brands in Denmark.
The water source, drilled in 1999 in Gammel Dyrehave forest, provides natural filtration through ground layers for over 100 years.
The mineral water comes in 500ml bottles with options for still, sparkling, and citrus-flavored variations at 25 Danish kroner.
The water extraction point, officially numbered 217.913 by GEUS, reaches 81 meters deep and connects to the Dalby-Rode waterworks system.
