Castillo de Albalat dels Sorells, Gothic castle in Albalat dels Sorells, Spain
The rectangular castle features four corner towers reaching 18 meters in height and encompasses a central courtyard surrounded by various halls and chambers.
The residence existed in the 14th century when Berenguer de Codinats acquired the estate, but the decorative elements date from the 15th century under Tomás Sorells Segarriga.
The castle incorporates Gothic architectural elements, including arched windows, stone galleries, and carved capitals adorned with medieval shields and floral patterns.
The building now serves as the Town Hall, following restoration works that preserved its medieval structure while adapting the space for municipal offices.
The main facade displays a symmetrical design with a rounded arch entrance made of large stone voussoirs and two Gothic windows above.
