Santa Maria de Bellvitge

Santa Maria de Bellvitge is a church building with a single nave, a square apse, and a bell tower topped with a pyramidal crown on its exterior. The structure stands several meters above the foundations of an earlier Romanesque building.

The building took its current form in 1718 and replaced a Romanesque church that was already documented in 1279. The older walls beneath the current structure show a long building tradition at this location.
