Gran Hotel de Albacete, Art Nouveau building in Plaza del Altozano, Albacete, Spain.
The Gran Hotel de Albacete combines five architectural styles including Art Nouveau, Renaissance, Gothic, Plateresque, and Baroque in its exterior design.
Built between 1915 and 1920, the hotel served as a meeting point for the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War when Albacete housed their headquarters.
The building, designed by architect Daniel Rubio Sánchez, transformed local hospitality by replacing traditional inns with the first luxury hotel in Albacete.
The four-star hotel occupies 4000 square meters across five floors and maintains its position in the financial and commercial center of Albacete.
The structure features three large lanterns and received the Castilla-La Mancha Architecture Award following its restoration in 2000.
