Legorburo building

The Legorburo building is a rationalist structure in central Albacete with three horizontal levels and a semi-elliptical tower at its core. The facade features vertical and horizontal striations with cushioned square ornaments, while the upper floors display curved balconies.

The structure was built between 1932 and 1935 by architects Baldomero Pérez Villena and José Luis García Pellicer. This period marked Albacete's urban modernization and the introduction of contemporary design principles in the region.

The building displays a blend of rationalist forms with art deco details that are visible throughout central Albacete. This architectural mixture shapes the downtown area and shows how modern design trends arrived in the region.

The building is located at Calle Mayor 33 in the city center and is easy to reach on foot. The facade and ornaments are protected, viewable from the street, while the interior is mainly occupied by residential apartments and offices.

The central semi-elliptical tower rises distinctly above the adjacent square sections, creating a striking vertical accent. This design element stands out clearly from the flatter surroundings and is further emphasized by the striped patterns.
