Iglesia de la Asunción, Albacete

The Iglesia de la Asunción is a modern church in the Feria district with contemporary architectural design and a rectangular floor plan. It accommodates roughly 500 seated visitors and includes educational rooms within its tower structure.

Construction of this church began in October 1966 under architects Antonio Escario and Arturo Mongrell. The building was inaugurated in May 1970, completing this religious project for the district.

The church is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, a celebration central to the community's faith and local religious identity. This dedication shapes how visitors and worshippers experience the space and its spiritual purpose.

The building is accessed through stairs located in the tower, where educational rooms are also situated. Visitors should be prepared to climb stairs when exploring the different areas of the structure.
