Palacio de los Altamira, Renaissance palace in Almazán, Spain

The Palacio de los Altamira features eleven reduced arches with ball illustrations and wooden ceilings decorated with eight-pointed stars on its gallery facing the Duero River.

The Catholic Monarchs resided in this noble residence from April to June 1496, followed by Prince Don Juan who stayed until March 1497.

The palace displays heraldic symbols of five notable families in its arch spandrels: Hurtado de Mendoza, Enríquez, Luna, Zúñiga, and Avellaneda.

The palace offers guided tours every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00, excluding public holidays, with advance reservations required for all visitors.

The central entrance includes a split pediment containing the family crest, supported by ionic columns that frame both the doorway and upper balcony.
