Villa romana la Dehesa, Roman archaeological site in Las Cuevas de Soria, Spain
The Roman villa extends over 4000 square meters and contains 24 rooms arranged around a central courtyard with columned galleries.
The excavation of this third-century Roman residence began in the 1930s, revealing multiple geometric mosaic floors and architectural elements.
The site features an interpretation center that displays artifacts and explains the daily operations of an agricultural estate during Roman times.
The villa opens Tuesday through Sunday from March to December, with guided tours available in summer months for 4 euros per person.
Elevated walkways allow visitors to observe the original mosaic floors while protecting the archaeological remains beneath.
