Alameda de Cervantes, Public park in central Soria, Spain
The Alameda de Cervantes spans 10 hectares and features long pathways under centuries-old trees, creating networks of green corridors throughout the space.
The park's origins trace back to the 12th century when Friar Pedro of San Millan Monastery designated the area as grazing land outside city walls.
The space received its current name in 1905 to honor Miguel de Cervantes during the third centenary of Don Quixote's publication.
Ten entrance gates and a main portal provide access to the park, with a 1,400-meter stone wall and wrought iron fence enclosing the grounds.
The Music Tree platform, built in 1924 with wrought iron, replaced an older wooden structure where bands performed outdoor concerts.
