Park of Nurseries of Ulia, Urban park and cultural property in San Sebastián, Spain.
The Park of Nurseries of Ulia is an urban green space in San Sebastián featuring plant beds, greenhouses, and storage areas for vegetation. Walking paths connect these areas and provide seating throughout the grounds.
The site operated as a municipal nursery until 2007, supplying plants and trees to public gardens throughout the city. After relocation of operations, the grounds lay unused until residents reopened it in 2015.
Local community groups tend vegetable and herb gardens in designated sections throughout the park. This gardening activity shapes the daily rhythm of the space and shows how residents have made it their own.
The park is easily accessible on foot with wide, level paths suitable for most visitors. The best time to visit is during the growing season when the gardens are most active.
The grounds contain two nineteenth-century water tanks called Buskando and Soroborda that once supplied water to the city. These structures remain visible today and show how water was managed before the Añarbe dam was constructed.
