The church building features a modern architectural design with clean lines and incorporates congregation center facilities within the same structure.
After a fire destroyed the previous church in May 1981, this new structure was constructed and officially opened during Advent of 1984.
The interior displays a large crystal artwork titled Light is a Gift from Heaven, created to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Haapavesi congregation.
Located at Tähtelänkuja 5, the church provides regular services and maintains administrative offices for community religious activities throughout the year.
The church grounds include multiple war memorials, including a monument for a German JU 88 aircraft crash from April 1942.
