The extensive mural displays portraits of influential women including Comandanta Ramona, Rosa Parks, Frida Kahlo, and Angela Davis on the sports center exterior wall.
Completed in September 2018 through the Compartiendo Muros initiative, this mural emerged from a community proposal by La Mesa de Igualdad y Diversidad to address gender violence.
The mural bears the message 'Las capacidades no dependen de tu género' and represents a collective statement about gender equality through public art.
Located at Calle José del Hierro 5, the mural remains accessible to visitors throughout the year as part of the sports center's exterior facade.
Local residents directly participated in painting the final sections during the last three days of the mural's creation, making it a true community artwork.
