Museo Taurino de Madrid, Bullfighting museum in Las Ventas, Madrid, Spain
The museum displays bullfighting artifacts, including costumes, posters, and equipment used by matadors throughout Spanish history in three exhibition rooms at Las Ventas.
The Provincial Council of Madrid inaugurated the Museo Taurino on May 15, 1951, during the festivities of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of Madrid.
The collection presents historical capes, monteras, and portraits of notable figures like Pedro Romero, Joselito, and Manolete, reflecting Spanish bullfighting traditions.
The museum opens from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM between April and October, and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM from November to March, with free admission.
The museum exhibits the heads of specific bulls, including Perdigón and Burlero, which were involved in the deaths of matadors El Espartero and Yiyo.
