Casa de Frederic Vallet II, Protected residential building in Dreta de l'Eixample, Barcelona, Spain.
Casa de Frederic Vallet II is a protected residential building in Barcelona featuring a central bay window on the main floor framed by two symmetrical stone balconies on either side. Located at Carrer de Mallorca 207, the structure maintains its original residential function while fitting into the orderly street grid of the Eixample neighborhood.
Architect Adolf Florensa i Ferrer designed this building in the early 20th century as part of Barcelona's urban development during that era. It emerged when Noucentisme architecture was becoming established as a response to the earlier Modernisme movement.
The building displays hallmarks of the Noucentisme movement through its ornate wrought iron railings and carved stone details that reflect Catalan architectural heritage. These elements showcase the local design language that flourished in Barcelona during the early 1900s.
The building sits in an accessible residential neighborhood with direct access to Carrer de Mallorca, one of the main streets of the Eixample district. The surrounding area offers convenient access to shops, cafes, and other urban amenities nearby.
The floor features a striking geometric ceramic mosaic with zigzag bands in red and ocher tones alongside beige squares. This decorative element is a rare detail that shows the craftsmanship invested in the original construction.
