Peebles Old Parish Church

Peebles Old Parish Church is a Gothic-style building with stepped gables and a distinctive tower crowned by a spire, standing prominently along the High Street. A wide flight of steps leads from the street level up to the main entrance, giving the structure a commanding presence in the town.

The current building was constructed around 1887 to replace an earlier church from the early 1700s, with some original elements carefully reused in the new design. This evolution reflects how the congregation adapted and expanded the structure to serve its growing community over time.

The interior displays fine craftsmanship from different periods, including artistic glass windows and liturgical items from the late 1800s. These pieces reflect the skill and care that worshippers have invested in this place over many years.
