Bekonscot, Miniature park in Beaconsfield, United Kingdom.
Bekonscot is a miniature park spanning approximately 0.6 hectares with thousands of handcrafted buildings, landscapes, and railways depicting English life at a 1:12 scale. The site features various locations such as factory halls, residential streets, shops, and public spaces, all carefully reproduced in miniature.
Roland Callingham, a local businessman, created this model park in his garden in 1929, making it the first miniature park open to the public. The site began as a private project that quickly became a popular attraction, drawing visitors to the area.
The models show different areas of British life, from factories to residential neighborhoods and parks as they existed during the interwar period. Visitors can observe how daily scenes looked then, with tiny figures engaged in activities typical of their era.
The park is accessible via Warwick Road and offers visitors a tea room, gift shop, children's play area, and dedicated parking. The paths through the grounds are level, making them easy to walk and allowing clear views of all sections.
The grounds house a small railway network with ten working trains traveling across roughly 450 meters of track. These trains move through the detailed landscapes and stop at tiny stations scattered throughout.
