Pleasurewood Hills is an amusement park near Lowestoft in Suffolk, England, covering 59 acres and offering more than 35 rides. The attractions include roller coasters, water rides and family areas distributed across several themed zones.
Joe Larter opened the park in 1983 as a small American-themed site with a miniature railway and adventure playground. Over the following decades, the grounds grew considerably through the construction of new roller coasters and themed areas.
Daily performances at the Castle Theatre feature acrobatics, music and comedy that appeal especially to children. The Sea Lion Splash Show allows visitors to watch sea lions up close and observe their movements in the water.
The site lies on the A47 between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth and provides free parking for visitors. Different rides have height restrictions, so parents with young children should check beforehand which attractions are accessible.
The Cannonball Express roller coaster is the last operating Schwarzkopf Jumbo V model worldwide. Its original track configuration has remained unchanged since its installation in 1995.
