Bingley St Ives, Country park in Harden, United Kingdom.
Bingley St Ives is a large country park spanning roughly 550 acres with woodlands, meadows, moorland, and ponds linked by numerous walking paths. The grounds include a golf course, equestrian center, archery range, fishing pond, and children's play areas with recently updated equipment.
The land belonged to Rievaulx Abbey and Drax Priory until 1540, when Walter Paslew acquired it and built a mansion house there in 1616. The estate changed hands several times afterward before eventually becoming the public park it is today.
The Chain Saw Carvings Sculpture Trail features wooden artworks scattered across the grounds and creates an outdoor gallery experience. Visitors discover these carvings while walking through different parts of the park.
The park is easy to explore on foot and offers paths suitable for walking, cycling, or riding, depending on your interests. Areas are also accessible for younger visitors, with play spaces and open grounds where families can spend time together.
The Druid's Altar is a rocky outcrop within the park that maintains connections to ancient religious practices. This natural feature preserves a visible link to the distant past and draws visitors interested in the area's older history.
