Golders Green Jewish Cemetery

This burial ground spans about 16.5 acres and is divided into two distinct sections: the East Side features horizontal Sephardi gravestones while the West Side holds upright memorial stones. Two funeral halls are situated within the grounds alongside drinking fountains and well-maintained pathways.

Founded in 1895, this burial ground has served the local Jewish community for over a century. It holds the graves of 24 Commonwealth service personnel who died during World War I and World War II.

The East Side maintains traditional Sephardi burial customs through its horizontal gravestones, reflecting Spanish and Portuguese Jewish communities that settled in London. This layout creates a distinct visual character that sets it apart from other burial grounds in the city.

The grounds are easy to navigate on foot, with Golders Green Underground station within a five-minute walk from the main entrance. The clear pathways and facilities make it accessible for visitors of various mobility levels.
