Golders Green Jewish Cemetery

The cemetery spans 16.5 acres and contains two distinct sections: an East Side with horizontal Sephardi gravestones and a West Side with upright memorial stones.

Established in 1895, the burial ground holds graves of 24 Commonwealth service personnel who served during both World War I and World War II.

The East Side of the cemetery maintains traditional Sephardi burial practices, reflecting the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish traditions in London through its horizontal gravestones.

The cemetery includes two funeral halls, drinking fountains, and clear pathways, with the Golders Green Underground station located within a five-minute walking distance.

The burial ground contains the graves of cellist Jacqueline du Pré and scholar Hakham Moses Gaster among other notable figures of London's Jewish community.
