Margam Stones Museum

The Margam Stones Museum houses a collection of carved stones and inscriptions displayed in a former schoolhouse, featuring works from different historical periods. The objects come from the surrounding area and bear markings in Latin script as well as Celtic patterns that shaped the region.

The collection began in 1892 when archaeologists gathered stone artifacts from the surrounding region to preserve medieval Welsh heritage. This effort was part of a wider movement to safeguard cultural evidence before it disappeared.
