Old Church of St Gwenllwyfo, Llanwenllwyfo

The stone walls of the church structure measure 39 feet by 15 feet, with portions remaining at approximately 5 feet in height following structural deterioration.

Built during the 15th century to replace an earlier structure, the church maintained religious services until the 1850s when a new building was constructed nearby.

The church holds dedication to Gwenllwyfo, a female Welsh saint from the 7th century, reflecting the regional religious traditions of medieval Anglesey.

The remaining walls and foundations of the church stand within a former cemetery surrounded by trees, accessible for historical research and documentation.

The church contained a rectangular stone font from the 12th century, which represents one of the oldest surviving ecclesiastical artifacts from the original structure.
