Ravenscourt Park, Urban park in Hammersmith and Fulham, England.
Ravenscourt Park is a 21-acre green space in Hammersmith and Fulham with tennis courts, basketball courts, football pitches, and a bowling green. The grounds also include multiple children's play areas and a central lake.
The site evolved from a medieval manor called Pallenswick, which King Edward III gave to Alice Perrers in 1373. Over centuries the estate changed hands before eventually becoming a public park.
The name comes from Thomas Corbett, who in 1746 incorporated the raven from his family coat of arms into the park's identity. This historical naming choice still shapes how people today think of and refer to this place.
The park has two cafes and dedicated play zones for different age groups, plus sports facilities available for public use. Visitors will find everything they need for a full day in an urban green space.
The central lake is the remaining remnant of an original moat that once surrounded the medieval manor house, which was destroyed during World War II. This water feature still connects visitors directly to the ancient structure that once stood on this ground.
