St Anne's Pier

The structure extends 600 feet into the sea with cast iron framework, wooden deck, and glass shelters along its length pointing towards the Ribble estuary.

Built in 1885 for £18,000, the pier initially measured 914 feet and provided steamer services to Blackpool and Liverpool until channel dredging altered water access.

The entrance building contains a collection of newspaper articles documenting the pier's appearances throughout its history within the Lancashire coastal community.

The pier remains open year-round with extended hours during summer months, offering free admission to visitors and featuring restaurants, shops, and children's rides.

Two significant fires in 1974 and 1982 led to the reduction of the pier's length from 914 to 600 feet, resulting in its current configuration.
