Andrew Carnegie donated £3,500 for the construction of this library, which opened its doors to the public on January 10, 1906.
The library maintains a local studies collection and organizes regular events for families, including reading sessions and educational programs throughout the year.
The facility provides computer access, Wi-Fi, printing services, and operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with extended hours until 7 PM on Thursdays.
Every Thursday evening from 6 PM to 7 PM, the library implements a Quiet Hour when all visitors mute their electronic devices.
