Spier's School, Educational structure in Beith, Scotland.
The red sandstone building features architectural elements inspired by Glasgow university buildings, with distinct Victorian educational design characteristics.
Margaret Gibson Spier funded the construction of this educational institution in 1888, which operated until its closure and subsequent demolition in 1984.
The school introduced rugby football to Ayrshire and maintained a tradition where students participated in competitions between houses named Cuff, Spier's, and Marshalland.
The grounds contain preserved architectural elements and an arboretum with multiple tree varieties, accessible through restored pathways for educational purposes.
Students underwent an initiation ritual called 'Ducked and Tossed', involving submersion in a pond followed by being thrown over a wall.
