The stone building features a 47-meter tower constructed in six stages, with a prominent clock face measuring six feet in diameter on its west side.
The structure was consecrated in 1283 by Bishop Godfrey Giffard of Worcester, with the majority of construction completed by 1325.
The Catherine Chapel at the north aisle hosts Friday morning prayers and contains the second oldest brasses in Gloucestershire, dating from 1392.
The church maintains regular services, organizes community activities, and preserves historical records in parish registers dating back to 1571.
The church organ, positioned in the south-east corner, ranks among the largest in the county and was once played by Georg Handel.
